CONFIGURAÇÃO URBANA E MICROCLIMAS
UM ESTUDO EM CIDADE DE CLIMA SEMIÁRIDO NO NORDESTE BRASILEIRO

The use and occupation of the soil are factors that directly influence the formation of the different urban microclimates. Such microclimates can be taken as as arising of the expansion of cities (caused by an intense urbanization process), unlinked to urban planning, which would affect the quality of life of users. Therefore, the objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of the urban configuration on the formation of urban microclimates in Arapiraca, AL. The method used was based on the collection, data analysis and simulation of scenarios, using sensors that recorded the temperature and humidity of the air – in six points with different configurations in the city – and of the ENVI-Met® software. After the discussion and analysis of the results, it was concluded that the urban parameters adopted in the municipality lead to climatic changes, especially in the increase of the air temperature. On the other hand, the areas with lower constructive densities, with presence of vegetation and wide roads, contributed to these areas achieving the lowest air temperatures throughout the day. Finally, it was possible to confirm the importance of the study of the formation of the urban microclimate as a relevant tool for aiding urban planning, since these results can serve as a guide in the design decisions of future interventions in the city, thus alleviating possible situations of local discomfort and the search for concrete realization of a city with quality of life for all.
