A COMPARAÇÃO DAS FORMAS DE DIVULGAÇÃO DE CONTEÚDO ENTRE A NORMA BRASILEIRA E A NORMA EUROPEIA PARA MANTAS VINÍLICAS

The purpose of the article is to present the ways of disclosing performance, focusing on the toxicity and ingredients of the materials, contained in the Brazilian standards (NBR 141917: 2017) and in the European standard (EN 14041: 2018) for vinyl blankets and resilient floors, in order to make a comparison and point out possible differences between standards. The vinyl blanket has characteristics considered favorable for use in hospitals because it is a monolithic floor, with less need for joints, easy cleaning and long service life. As a result, the article presented information about aspects related to the toxicity of the material, the dissemination of information about the ingredients of the materials and the technical responsibility for the information that is passed on to consumers. The European Union standard supports the argument that there are ways to demand a greater amount of information from the manufacturer, protecting industrial secrecy, as well as exposing greater transparency of information to consumers.
