CAUSAS DE ATRASOS EM OBRAS DE EDIFICAÇÕES PÚBLICAS: LEVANTAMENTO DE PUBLICAÇÕES NO PERÍODO 2009-2020

Construction delay is a commom problem in building construction leading to litigation and disputes between those involved. Public projects that are paralyzed and/or unfinished carry debts to the govern compromising public resources that could be used for benefit of society. The purpose of this study was to do a survey on the research related to delay in public building from 2009 to 2020. The adopted method consisted in the publications analysis on database research using keywords. Eleven studies were evaluated, eight international and three Brazilian. The results obtained showed that the most frequent causes of delays in public building works are changes in the project scope, weather conditions and related to poor management of layout site construction.
