Abstract

Despite the growing development of studies involving the Lean concept and its insertion in civil construction, cases of waste associated with decision making by improvisation and lack of planning on the construction site, principally in emergency situations, are still recurring, known as making-do. This research aims to carry out a bibliometric review to assess how the making-do is being researched in the world, in recent years, and to identify the main impacts caused by the making-do in the civil construction sector. Based on the article’s analysis, information was obtained such as the number of papers published in recent years, methodology of this papers, placement of the papers, average number of citations of the papers and place of publication of the papers. The results showed that this theme has been extensively studied, worldwide, with emphasis on Brazil, which has a greater number of researches involving the theme.
