O USO DE CONTAINERS NA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL: CARACTERIZAÇÃO E ESTUDO DE CASO

Abstract

In recent years, the production of housing units through the adaptation of cargo transport containers has been a trend in the construction market, as the search for sustainable development is increasingly present in the sectors of society, such as civil construction, which is one of the human activities with the greatest impact on the environment. With this, the numerous discussions on environmental issues and sustainability require the professional of this sector to take a new stand, seeking new technological alternatives for construction. For this purpose, the present paper has an exploratory dissertative character about the construction of containers using a bibliographic search to expand the discussion about the use of cargo containers as residences. It also seeks to understand the factors that influence the reuse of the container, in such a way that the built environment offers habitable conditions for its users.
