Influence of housing, neighbors, and neighborhood on individual satisfaction
analysis of interrelationships in the Brazilian context

This study aims to analyze the interrelationships between aspects of residential satisfaction with housing – house and apartment –, neighbors and neighborhood. In order to demonstrate the influence of neighbors and neighborhood variables on individual satisfaction, a convenient sample was collected through the application of a questionnaire with 426 respondents. The analyses were performed using correlation analysis and factor analysis. The results elucidated the influence of satisfaction with housing linked to neighbors and neighborhood variables. Factor analysis reduced variables into factors to make the tool more practical for investigate existing interrelationships.
