Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the association between self-assessed productivity and the calculated operative temperature in mixed-mode and fully air-conditioned office buildings in Florianópolis-Brazil. The results showed different user behavior in each building. In the fully air-conditioned building, productivity was best evaluated for a temperature range between 24°C and 25°C, while the results varied for each building during the use of air-conditioning in mixed-mode buildings. During natural ventilation operation in mixed-mode buildings, productivity was similar in comparison to the air-conditioning operation.
