Abstract

This article results in the application of the Post-Occupancy Assessment (APO) method in a corporate office to assess air quality and thermal comfort. The research took place in the winter of 2019 and summer of 2020, where guided tours were carried out, questionnaires were applied and measurements of air quality and thermal comfort parameters were carried out to check the compliance with this environment with technical standards and legislation. The Post Occupancy Evaluation methodology proved to be compatible for the analysis of internal environmental quality focused on air quality and thermal comfort as it provides a clear understanding of the parameters analyzed and the perception of satisfaction of the occupants. This research brings CO2 levels just above the limits established by ANVISA and the concentration of particulates below the recommendations of EPA and EU. Regarding thermal comfort, the dissatisfaction rate is higher than that recommended by ASHRAE 55 (2017) for general thermal comfort (summer and winter) and for local thermal discomfort (summer).
