Bamboo bio-concretes (BBC) can be considered as an alternative for the reuse of waste generated during bamboo products primary process. However, the bamboo aggregates need to be treated in order to be mixed with cementitious materials. Besides the energy consumption for the bamboo waste treatment is used the setting accelerator additive of calcium chloride (CaCl2), that increase the environmental impacts of BBC production. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was used, considering a cradle to gate scope, for the evaluation of different mixtures produced in laboratory. Five BBC mixtures were evaluated with different CaCl2 content: 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% e 5% (in relation to the Portland cement mass). The environmental modelling was performed in SimaPro and we use the Ecoinvent database, Environmental Product Declarations and primary data collected in the laboratory. As ecoefficiency indicators we related the potential environmental impacts with the BBC compressive strength results (in MPa). The mixture with 2% content of CaCl2 presented the best results for most of cases. The use of LCA was fundamental to know the production of bio-concretes and optimization of mechanical and environmental performance..
