CRIAÇÃO DE REVESTIMENTOS BIOINSPIRADOS A PARTIR DOS RESÍDUOS DA CONSTRUÇÃO

Abstract

This study consisted of developing a new material using mortar and concrete residues discarded in construction, for application in decorative coatings. For this, a visit was made to a construction site to collect the residues, which were classified, ground and submitted to characterization tests. Subsequently, specimens were molded with three mortar lines, composed of different proportions of waste and sand. They were characterized as to the resistance to compression and traction in flexion. For creation, knowledge of bionics was applied through the analysis of two genera of orchids. It was concluded that the use of waste as a material for coatings is a tangible solution.
