Abstract

The reuse of RCD has been a sustainable alternative in the construction industry. This work had as objective to verify the viability of the use of concrete blocks manufactured with the incorporation of aggregates of RCD in total substitution to the natural ones. Blocks of dimensions 19 x 19 x 39 cm were produced, according to manual and mechanical molding procedures, subjected to water absorption and compression resistance tests. The results showed that the blocks manufactured mechanically had a better performance, being able to be used in non-structural masonry with resistance greater than 2.0 MPa.
