Homogeneous Particleboard, Corn Straw, Polyethylene Terephthalate and Polyurethane Adhesive derived from Castor OilAbstract
This study consisted of the production of homogeneous particleboard with pine, nominal density of 650 kgf/m³, corn straw, polyethylene terephthalate and polyurethane adhesive derived from castor oil. Mixtures of pine with straw of 85-15%, 70-30%, 50-50%, 30-70% and 100% of straw and pine were proposed, considering the addition of 10% polyethylene terephthalate and polyurethane derivative of castor oil being pressed with 50kgf/cm2, 110°C in 10min, aiming to improve its physical and mechanical properties, which were evaluated using NBR14810:1;2/2018. The results obtained indicated the possibilities of using the panels in civil construction and furniture companies.
