Abstract

The construction industry grows more each year and, consequently, the production of waste coming from construction sites. In order for these wastes not to be disposed of in inappropriate places, proper management of them is necessary, thus avoiding major environmental impacts. The objective of this article is to present a diagnosis of the current scenario of the management of WCC’s in construction sites in the city of Tucuruí, in the state of Pará. For the development of this work, bibliographical reviews and field surveys were carried out. possible to use specific indicators for waste management in the municipality. The results of the research were analyzed and, together with an applied questionnaire, it was possible to see that there is no management plan for WCC applied in these works, but some waste is reused, such as wood, which is reused by third parties, are instructed to make the correct handling of these materials. In this scenario, it is suggested that they seek measures to qualify the local manpower, make workers aware of the environmental impacts caused by the WCC and also to prepare a municipal a plan management of waste from civil construction.
