Abstract

High-strength concrete (HSC) has been widely used in precast concrete structures. One of the difficulties in this constructive system is the connection region between the elements. Currently, ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) with high mechanical properties is emerging as a filling option in the connection region of precast structures or as a structural repair material. The present study collected data from the literature on the mechanical properties of HSC and UHPC made with rice husk ash (RCA) in partial replacement of the binders. The results showed that the replacement content of 20% of the cement by CCA for the UHPC is what has provided better compressive strength results. As for HSC, the ideal amount of CCA used as a substitute for cement is 10%.
