The spatiality when including the aspects of environmental comfort, is a crucial element in the process of teaching and learning. The research proposed has the general objective of discussing a methodology for assessing luminous comfort in classrooms. For this, a building was selected at the Campus at Coração Eucarístico, PUC Minas, Belo Horizonte, in which evaluations of the luminous performance of the classroom were carried out by means of simulations with computational tools. This research was developed in four stages. The first stage was a bibliographic review, and the selection of the both the object to be studied and the software to be used in the simulations. The second stage was the study of the computational tools and the definition of the evaluation parameters. The third stage was the data collection and simulation of the current situation of the classroom, on the dates and times defined by the Brazilian Norms for assessing the Luminous performance. Finally, the last stage where simulations were tested by doing modifications in the classrooms and followed up by the analysis of the results. As a conclusion of this work, the use of the software Grasshopper - a native visual programming tool of the Rhinoceros software - was analyzed, together with the Honeybee pluggin and also Radiance - an environmental analysis software - to simulate the luminous performance of classrooms, verifying that the parameterization can also be used in environmental comfort analyzes, in addition to contributing to the suitability of any project. Furthermore, the methodology could be applied in the process of projects.
