ESTADO DO CONHECIMENTO ACERCA DE ESPECIFICAÇÕES TÉCNICAS E NORMATIVAS PARA USO DE AGREGADOS RECICLADOS DE RESÍDUOS DE CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

Abstract

In Brazil, there are specific standards that guide the use of recycled aggregates in pavements constructions and nonstructural concrete (ABNT NBR 15115 and ABNT NBR 15116). However, due to the fact that recycling construction and demolition waste (CDW) is still a recent activity in the country when compared to other countries, it is comprehensive that we have seen a gap regarding the standardization of these materials as well such as the resistance of the construction industry to using them. This study aims to obtain a systematic analysis of the literature review on technical and normative specifications for the use of recycled aggregates of construction and demolition waste at a national and international level. To this end, it was considered technical, regulatory and quality control standards and guidelines for the use of recycled aggregates from 12 countries, including Brazil. A systematic analysis of the standards allowed for an appraisal of the international technical and normative production analyzed, supplemented by a brief comparison with the last national review carried out on the subject. This allowed the proposal for technical guidelines and normative for the use of recycled construction and demolition materials in Brazil. It is expected that the results of the work support the Construction sector in the growth of related specifications and standards, thus producing practical contributions for the consolidation of the CDW recycling sector in the Country.
