Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of replacing natural sand by stone powder in the manufacture of concrete pipes of 400 mm. For this purpose, concrete pipes were made with five different mixes, being the first one considered as the reference, and the other four with replacement percentages of 100, 75, 50 and 25% of the natural sand by stone powder. For the analysis of the pipes, strength tests were performed for diametrical compression and water absorption. It was verified that the compressive strength was not influenced by the substitution, however, there was an increase in water absorption.
