The present study aims to evaluate the milling parameters for the processing of marble, clay tile, clay brick, and phosphogypsum wastes for recycling as supplementary cementitious materials. The raw materials were benefited by grinding, sieving, and milling in a planetary ball mill, varying the parameters of time and rotation speed. The wastes were characterized according to their physical, chemical and mineralogical properties. The milling study was based on the analysis of particle size distribution by laser diffraction. The clay tile and clay brick wastes showed the best grindability indexes, reaching average diameters of about 3 μm with the lowest consumed energies. Marble and phosphogypsum wastes indicated a tendency to agglomerate during milling, demanding the use of grinding additive and reduced rotation speed.
