ESTUDO EXPERIMENTAL DE ARGAMASSAS COM RESÍDUO DE CINZA VOLANTE DE MINÉRIO DE CARVÃO EM SUBSTITUIÇÃO AO AGREGADO MIÚDO
Keywords:
Fly ash, mortar, wasteAbstract
The work proposes the use of fly ash from coal as a partial replacement for the aggregates of a conventional mortar produced with CP-IV Portland cement. In addition to the characterization of the materials, tests were conducted on pastes and mortar in the fresh and hardened states. The addition delayed the onset of kinetic hydration reactions and increased setting onset time by approximately 36%. An increase of 27.3% in compressive strength and 12.27% in flexural tensile strength was observed. The results showed that the partial replacement of sand by ash was beneficial to the mechanical performance of the matrices.
