Abstract

The effects of replacing the fine natural aggregate (FNA) by the fine crushed aggregate (FCA) were analyzed. A reference mix and 25% and 50% substitutions of FNA by FCA were defined, maintaining a fixed water/cement ratio. In the results, the 50/50 mix obtained an increase of in 1.56% and 34.66% in the resistance to axial compression and traction by diametral compression, respectively, at 28 days, in relation to reference mix. Thus, the 50/50 sample proved to be more promising compared to the others regarding compression analyses.
