STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF GRANULOMETRIC CORRECTION OF AGGREGATES IN THE PROPERTIES OF THE MORTAR
Keywords:
Granulometric composition, natural sand, manufactured sandAbstract
The depletion of the deposits of natural aggregates near the great urban centers and the environmental restrictions to its extraction has become a difficult factor to obtain this material. However, there is a growing availability of manufactured sand, making it pertinent to understand their behavior in cemented matrices. An experimental program was established where the characterization of two natural aggregates and one manufactured sand was realized, applying them individually or combined in mortars. The mortars produced with manufactured sand and combined aggregates (naturals and manufactured) were distinguished by their better properties when compared to mortars produced only by natural aggregates.
