Abstract

The proper management of textile waste is one of the main challenges of the modern industry. In this regard, this study aims to identify the existence of research related to the use of this input in the production of sustainable construction materials. A systematic literature review was conducted, and 493 publications between 2015 and 2025 on the use of textile waste in the production of alternative materials were assessed, with 30 articles selected that addressed this methodology. It was found that the studies associate textile waste recycling with the physical, mechanical, thermal, and acoustic properties of materials that use these wastes, technological innovation, and other applications.
