Abstract

The process of architectural design has gone through various moments of improvement, and the ability to make assertive decisions is crucial to ensure efficiency and speed in the development of buildings. In this context, the parameterization of processes and computer simulations becomes a great ally, allowing the designer to create virtual prototypes quickly and accurately. However, many undergraduate students do not have access to tools that are simple enough to use energy efficiency simulations in their learning process. To solve this issue, a software was developed to facilitate the learning of energy efficiency simulation in buildings. The objective of this work is to present the process of developing this tool, including strategic decision-making to ensure that the application is easy to use and provides a good user experience. The results obtained from the application of the software were positive, with good reception from students and important feedback for improving the tool and teaching energy efficiency in buildings. From these results, it can be concluded that the development of simplified and intuitive tools is crucial to encourage the learning of energy efficiency simulation in buildings and to prepare students for their professional development.
