AVALIAÇÃO DA PERCEPÇÃO DA PAISAGEM SONORA DE UM PARQUE URBANO
Keywords:
Soundscape, Urban parks, Sound qualityAbstract
The main objective of this study is to identify how users perceive the natural and unnatural sounds that make up the soundscape of a public urban park. The research was carried out in the State Park of Utinga, in Belém/Pa, where 102 questionnaires with direct and open questions were applied, as well as the measurement of the A-weighted Equivalent Sound Pressure Level (LAeq). People visit the park mainly for leisure, physical activity and meetings, with a frequency less than once a month. Natural sounds are the most perceived spontaneously and highlighted as pleasing by the visitors, while the unnatural are more easily identified when induced to perceive them. The noise produced by the visitors is noticed with greater intensity, this was proven with the measurements of LAeq in the crowding points (service / support / snack / bicycle rental) where levels were registered above those recommended by the current national norm. The results highlight the relevance of the subjective consultation and the need for public policy for the creation and preservation of the public urban parks’ sound quality.
