ENTENDENDO A CIDADE PELOS OUVIDOS DAS PESSOAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL

Abstract

Among the incidences were applied to the utilitarian and functional inheritance, having as main objective the vision of its systemic sense as a primordial instrument of world perception and the most noble and valued of the senses (PALLASMAA, 2011). This article, it is believed that the hegemony of vision in the production of spaces, in addition to not encouraging the other senses, is a factor of social exclusion for People with Visual Impairment (PwVI), since it is imposed on these people - through the constructed destinations - values and cultures conflicting with their perceptive ability. Thus, it is like a PwVI using hearing to understand, locate and be in the place of the city, in addition, to envisage the children as possible analytical input for the study of the perception of the city by the PwVI. The tests used were: Commented Paths (THIBAUD, 2001) and Interviews. As a result, it was seen as a recognition audience or the recognition of a particular place and could contribute to the orientation and location of the PwVI in the city.
