PERFIL DA POLUIÇÃO SONORA DURANTE OS ANOS DE 2016 A 2018 NA CIDADE DE MACEIÓ – AL

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), noise pollution and was ranked as the second cause of environmental pollution in the world. With the concern in the control of the environment, the Ministry of environment and Territorial Development (SEDET) in the city of Maceió-AL, the municipal body is responsible for receiving complaints and monitor environmental pollutants. The present work aimed to continue the survey of complaints and to characterize the noise profile of Maceió-AL, in the years 2016 to 2018 and confront the data obtained from the surveys already carried out previously during the period of 2011 to 2015. The study aims to generate subsidies to the municipal bodies responsible for combating noise pollution by applying the methodology on 2,234 analysis reports, classified by type of target pollution, per month and per year, source of noise and location in neighborhoods of the capital of Alagoas. The data obtained in periods expose the Ponta Verde district as the main focus of noise pollution, caused mainly by bars and nightclubs. The second largest concentration of complaints was registered on the Tabuleiro dos Martins, who had also as sources of complaint the bars and shops. It is noticeable the need overt surveillance in the city of Maceió influences in the significant decrease of complaints carried out by the population and the need for restructuring the way acoustic standards apply and reinforce the urgency awareness campaigns and prevention of noise pollution.
