The importance of green areas in the urban scenario refers, among other factors, to minimizing the impacts of urbanization, contributing to the reduction of air temperature, increase of relative air humidity and direction of the winds. The objective of this work is to analyze the influence of vegetation on the urban microclimate, by monitoring the variables air temperature and relative humidity in urban spaces in the city of Arapiraca-AL. The methodological procedures adopted for the development of the research consisted of five steps: selection of sample units, selection of measurement points, installation of sensors, acquisition and analysis of recorded data. The Ceci Cunha Municipal Park, the Bosque das Arapiracas and the Green Area Dom Constantino Lüers were selected as study areas. The results obtained showed that in the points located in spaces with greater concentration of vegetation the lower air temperatures were registered in the hottest period of the day.
