Natural ventilation is one of the main strategies recommended for the promotion of thermal comfort in buildings. The knowledge of their predominant directions and speeds supports the planning of urban construction arrangements and the orientation and sizing of building openings. Thus, the general objective of this work is to provide information for building projects regarding openings for the use of natural ventilation and the need to protect them from rainfall penetration in the region of Agreste from Alagoas, having as fields of study the cities of Arapiraca and Palmeira dos Índios. The methodology was developed according to the following steps: collection and tabulation of climate data; statistical treatment and data insertion in the WRplot software; and creation and interpretation of graphs and tables. The analysis for Arapiraca showed that: the predominant wind direction is to the east; the main wind speed occurs between 1.6 and 3.4 m/s (weak); and the incident rains come mainly from the southeast direction. The study for Palmeira dos Índios revealed that: the predominant wind direction is to the east; the frequency of wind speed was higher between the range of 1.6 to 3.4m/s (weak); and the predominant direction of occurrence of rainfall is to the east. Ventilation analysis revealed that the predominant and secondary wind directions vary throughout the year in an approximate manner in each location, while precipitation was concentrated between the months of April and mid-September for both cities.
