VERTICALIZAÇÃO E AMBIENTE TÉRMICO URBANO

ESTUDO DE PARÂMETROS URBANÍSTICOS EM FRAÇÃO URBANA NA CIDADE DE ARAPIRACA/ AL

Abstract

The process of development of urbanization in Brazilian cities, with rare exceptions, occurred at an accelerated rate of densification and without previous urban planning, thus there is a growing loss of quality of life in the urban environment, followed by several environmental impacts, such as: islands of heat, floods, smog effect, among others. In this context, the role of Urban Climatology is inserted, which presents in Bioclimatic Urbanism strategies and guidelines that, if observed, can guide a better adaptation of the local climate with the configuration and use of urban space. In this context, the present study takes as object of study the city of Arapiraca / AL, whose urbanization process is in the initial stage of verticalization, however, its urban legislation does not present urban parameters equivalent to this urban development. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of verticalization in the urban thermal environment, based on the evaluation of the climatic performance of hypothetical urban scenarios based on the urban parameters currently in force and on traditional urban parameters. This was possible through computational simulations with the ENVI-met software. The results of the computational simulations evidenced the natural ventilation as the main bioclimatic strategy to be adopted to favor good thermal conditions in the urban environment of semi-arid climate, confirmed the need to review the urban parameters present in the mechanisms that legislate on the use and occupation of the soil Arapiraca / AL, as well as confirms the importance of bioclimatic urbanism as a tool for urban planning.
