Lighting plays an undisputed role in indoor spaces, providing improvements in human health, well-being, and user productivity, especially in work environments. Furthermore, the quality of lighting is essential for improving environmental conditions and energy efficiency. This article aims to analyze the conditions of internal lighting in an office building to assess the quality of natural and artificial lighting in work environments and correlate the results obtained with user perception. The method used was a case study, which consisted of the following steps: morphological analysis of the building through the application of the Morphological Diagram; on-site measurements to verify the illuminance levels in the environments; analysis of the quality of the external view based on the criteria of NBR 15.215-3; and the application of a questionnaire to understand user perception regarding the analyzed environments. The results allowed for an understanding of aspects related to the building's implementation, such as solar orientation and its relationship with the surroundings, identification of illuminance levels in the horizontal plane (workstations) and comparison with the values presented in ABNT NBR 15.215 (under revision), classification of the external view according to its level of quality, and correlation of user responses and evaluations with the data obtained. It was concluded from the study that the quality of lighting in the analyzed environments was not satisfactory for the activities carried out in this typology.
