AVALIAÇÃO DO DESEMPENHO DA VENTILAÇÃO NATURAL EM AMBIENTE DE INTERNAÇÃO HOSPITALAR EM MACEIÓ/AL

The use of passive strategies aimed at the thermal comfort of users, especially in the hospital environment, where these issues deserve more attention, is of paramount importance, exploring the natural conditions with technologies that help to save energy by proposing more pleasant environments through natural ventilation. The objective of this study is to observe the behavior of the airflow in a pediatrics ward of the University Hospital of Alagoas professor Alberto Antunes, comparing with the parameters of environmental comfort by the ASHRAE 55/2013, adaptive method. Six measurements of the air velocity and temperature were carried out during three hours of permanence in the environment, being measured every thirty minutes. In all measurements, there was ventilation with velocity greater than 0.3 m / s, positively influencing the users' thermal sensation at all points and times measured, with a higher incidence of ventilation in the beds near the windows. The air velocity in an environment located on the third floor, orientated to the East, contributed to place four of the six points within the range of acceptability of the Standard, and that by the vertical brises installed outside the openings are with their steering regulation system damaged, interfere in a better distribution of the air flows.
