AVALIAÇÃO DO ISOLAMENTO ACÚSTICO DE SISTEMAS DE FECHAMENTO VERTICAIS DE UMA “CASA POPULAR EFICIENTE”

The disorderly growth of the Brazilian population and the increase in the noise level in urban areas contribute to a growing concern about the acoustic performance of residential buildings. Concomitantly, the Brazilian housing deficit grows more and more and, therefore, it is necessary to study the use of low-cost alternative materials for the construction of affordable housing and its acoustic performance. In 2013, the “efficient popular house”, a low-cost construction, was built. The ‘Casa Popular Eficiente’ project contemplated several sustainable solutions, proposing, for example, the use of alternative materials such as cement floor bricks, tetra-pak tiles and OSB panels. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the acoustic insulation to air noise provided by the external and internal vertical closure systems of the "efficient popular house" in a post-occupation situation. As main results, it was found that the insulation indices for the facades are above the minimum values recommended by NBR 15575-4 (ABNT, 2013). However, internal vertical closure systems had insufficient insulation rates, which is directly correlated with executive details. This result points to the relevance of the performance of materials and the construction process used by the civil construction sector to obtain quality in housing.
