EXPERIÊNCIAS DE ENSINO REMOTO NAS DISCIPLINAS DE CONFORTO ACÚSTICO NOS CURSOS DE ARQUITETURA E URBANISMO DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE ALAGOAS

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused changes in several sectors, including education. Teachers from all over the world, in a short time, had to reinvent themselves and look for remote teaching strategies that could be applied within each reality. One of the challenges of the Architecture and Urbanism course is its practical character, with subjects always focused on studio activities and group work. Remote teaching became a challenge for the entire course, but it was possible, within the limitations, to find ways for new forms of teaching. This article deals with the experience of two courses in Architecture and Urbanism at UFAL – Universidade Federal de Alagoas. During this period, four disciplines of acoustics were taught: one in the master's degree and three in the undergraduate course. Digital tools, WebQuests, use of case studies, seminars with manufacturers and consultants in acoustics were some of the strategies applied. As a result, it was realized that, despite the respected social distance, the level of work was of high quality, but it was inevitable that the lack of interaction between student and teacher and between students was the main difficulty encountered. This paper is expected to contribute to the discussion of teaching acoustics within the Architecture and Urbanism course to overcome the difficulties imposed by the pandemic time.
