New forms of electricity generation in Brazil, in view of the promising alternative is the adoption of the energy from the solar radiation, it has become an option that is increasingly feasible to do so. This work evaluates the potential of the integration of photovoltaic systems in buildings and residential located in the city of Campo Grande/MS. An analysis of the potential for the integration of the PV plant is divided into three stages: 1 - analysis of the architectural characteristics and the consumption pattern of the inhabitants and; 2 - the evaluation of the integration of photovoltaic systems in buildings; and 3) a simulation of the performance of photovoltaic systems integrated in buildings. The performance of the PV systems was simulated in the program by the SAM (System Advisor Model), with the settings of the inverter, the modules and the layout for each solar or wind energy proposal. It was also reviewed in the area of the PV system, versus the coverage available for each building. The results show that all of the buildings have the potential to meet its own needs for electrical energy consumption and, in addition to being a consumer, you are able to become units and electric power generators for feeding power into the grid (mains). Based on the values of the generation in kWh of the PV system is obtained from the ten buildings, it is evident that, in addition to the amount required to cover have the ability to make it to the building of a generating unit from the power. For this reason, this paper presents the feasible alternatives that in the medium term can be taken – in view of the high incidence of the solar radiation that the country receives, and the photovoltaic systems integrated in buildings to the residential, can contribute to the energy mix is cleaner.
