AVALIAÇÃO DO CONFORTO TÉRMICO DE PESSOAS ACIMA DE 55 ANOS NO PARQUE ECOLÓGICO DE PRESIDENTE PRUDENTE - SP

Abstract

The open public space is the main recreation option for many people, therefore it is important that those spaces’s planning include, besides the needed infrastructure, a concern with the local microclimate, aiming to provide comfort for the user, mostly in cites as Presidente Prudente/SP, where the climate is characterized by high temperatures and high level of radiation. In this work, the analysis of the thermal comfort of users above 55 years of age was carried out, the choice of this age range was made to comprehend better how the park’s comfort works out to users of middle age and older age, that have an higher thermal sensitivity. The obtained results show a difference betwen the actual comfort rate (Actual Sensation Vote - ASV) and the range compared those obtained by the PET and UTCI indexes. It was possible to notice a displacemet of the ASV comfort range of these users, for warmer temperatures, compared to the other indexes comfort ranges. Thus chowing that for the studied case, the comfort ratio occurs at higher temperatures them those in the commun indexes.
