ANÁLISE DE ASPECTOS AMBIENTAIS DAS PRAÇAS DA GRANDE IBES, VILA VELHA (ES)

Abstract

The free areas of public use destined to the contemporary childhoods become less and less attractive and frequented in the urban context; therefore, understanding their socio-environmental quality is fundamental for the elaboration of guidelines aimed at improving and recovering the user's relationship with these spaces. In this context, the present study presents a critical analysis of play spaces, with a focus on related environmental aspects, as a cut out of the Regional Grande Ibes, Vila Velha (ES). After the bibliographic survey and mapping of the squares of the specified clipping, a study was carried out for the adequacy of the indexes of the Tool Index (iCam), which were organized in 4 categories, respectively: Protection and Safety; Comfort and Image; Access and Connections; and Sociability, Uses and Activities. This article presents the evaluation corresponding to the category "Comfort and Image", which verifies the situation of the environment of the square and its relation with the existing green areas. The results obtained help to better understand the user interface with the city and its relationship with nature, as well as indicate that the mapped areas need a new look aimed at meeting the real needs of the population.
