The Sustainable Home Laboratory (LCS) is an exhibition space associated to educational, research and extension actions, with design based on the sustainability pillars, developed to compose the set of buildings of the Botanical Garden / UFJF. The building aims to be the stage for the development of qualitative and quantitative environmental comfort surveys, based on the opinion of the visitors, functional tests and knowledge improvement about eco techniques existing in the bibliography and experiments for innovations. In teaching and extension, it is expected to disseminate knowledge in the areas of sustainable architecture, bioclimatism, environmental comfort and eco efficiency, seeking to achieve society as a strategy to contribute to the city sustainability on a large scale. The design were conceived in an interdisciplinary way between architecture and engineering, based on a research of theoretical references. The building was opened for public visitation in April 2019, and the comfort surveys are in the preparation process, and therefore, an appropriate moment for the academic community contribution. This article aims to disseminate the LCS and its strategies, as well as the methods of collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data in contribution to research in the area of environmental comfort.
