AVALIAÇÃO EXPERIMENTAL DA TAXA DE RENOVAÇÃO DE AR DE UMA CASA POPULAR EM PALMAS-TO UTILIZANDO O MÉTODO DO GÁS TRAÇADOR

The ventilation of buildings has two fundamental objectives for the maintenance or promotion of air quality inside environments: to guarantee the entry of fresh and clean air inside the buildings and to promote the exit of pollutants that are inside. Understanding and quantifying the ventilation of a building is the first step towards a correct control and definition of its most appropriate use strategy. The most common technique for measuring ventilation rates is based on the use of a tracer gas. In this work, the air change rate of a popular house was measured using the tracer gas method and the decay technique. For this purpose, five experiments were carried out, allowing to evaluate the variability of the results. The results showed that it is necessary to carry out several tests to increase its level of confidence, once the coefficient of variation reached 19%. The average air change rate was 1.16 h-1, which can be considered high, considering that it corresponds only to air infiltration.
