DIRETRIZES BIOCLIMÁTICAS PARA A REGIÃO MORFOLÓGICA ‘MORUMBI/HR’ EM PRESIDENTE PRUDENTE-SP

The architecture, during the 20th century, went through drastic changes due to a standardization process, not considering the local specificities. Thus, the climate characteristics end up being no longer a primary factor in the architecture design creation, causing the building to have a low energy efficiency in general and hence, the bioclimatic architecture shows its importance by proposing solutions involving an efficient environment performance. The study was taken in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo state, making possible analyze the city’s relevant climate conditions and apply the obtained data into Traditional Mahoney’s Method in order to acquire proper design guidelines to these city’s context. Also, the ABNT NBR 15220 (2005) was considered as a parameter to the constructive guideline. Subsequently, the study focused in Morphological Region ‘Morumbi/HR’ range, whereby was recognized the residential use area, the actual habitational typologies and, afterwards, the building orientations linked to the sun’s path and the predominant wind directions. With the actual implanted different positionings it was possible to set design guidelines related to solar incidence throughout the year and cross ventilation. Finally, with the identified pre-existing typologies, double walls were proposed based on thermal inertia, through bioclimatic strategies regarding thermal delay and thermal transmittance reduction. Therefore, it is concluded that considering climatic aspects and the knowledge provided by bioclimatic architecture is important when creating an architectural design or reforming a building, providing in this way a high energetic efficiency and an adequate environment performance.
