A INFLUÊNCIA DE VARIÁVEIS URBANÍSTICAS NA DISPONIBILIDADE DE LUZ NATURAL NO AMBIENTE INTERNO

Abstract

In the current context of the pandemic by COVID-19, in which people tend to stay for long periods inside buildings, the importance of adequate use of natural light in indoor environments has increased, given its effects on the physical and mental health of the population. In this sense, it is noteworthy that the quantity and quality of daylight inside the buildings is influenced by the built environment, especially by the obstructing elements of the surroundings. Given the above, this research aimed to evaluate the influence of urban variables on the performance of natural lighting in the indoor environment. The methodology consisted of a parametric study, using computer simulations in the TropLux Program for three types of CIE standard skies (3, 7 and 12). The analysis was carried out by comparing the average annual values of illuminance, the percentages within the intervals of the IDUs (Useful Daylight Illuminances) and the uniformity indexes, considering the main cardinal orientations. From the results, it was verified that, among the urban variables analyzed, the height of buildings is the index that has the greatest influence on the variation of lighting levels and the percentages of UDIs. However, the effect of obstructions can be reduced by expanding the width of the road , reinforcing the relevance of the link between the height of the buildings and the distance between them. In addition, it was observed that the other external variables had a small contribution related to the changes in the uniformity indexes of lighting in the internal environment.
