Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate a horizontal luminous performance adjusted under different coefficients reflection values. The methodology was established from simulations in the Troplux Software, considering a school environment, with two alternatives of horizontal brises typologies, 25 cm and 54 cm deep, and reflection coefficients of dark (0,9), médium (0,6) and light color (0,2). The definition of the geometry of the horizontal brises was carried out using the Solar Charter of Vitória - ES, in the North orientation. Twenty measurement points were adopted in the internal environment in an orthogonal mesh, being simulated for Sky 7 (partly cloudy) and Sky 12 (clear). The analyzed natural lighting values were compared with UDI (Useful Daylight Illuminances) between 8 am and 4 pm for the whole year, which allowed to characterize the occurrence of illuminances that remain within certain lighting intervals, insufficient; sufficient, but in need of additional lighting; enough; excessive. For both skys analyzed, the best performances of the horizontal brises were obtained from the association between the 54 cm brises with dark reflection coefficients, as well as the 25 cm brises with light reflection coefficients.
