“ANALISE DA ILUMINAÇÃO NATURAL EM ÁREA DE EIXO DE TRANSFORMAÇÃO URBANA DO MUNICÍPIO DE SÃO PAULO”
Keywords:
daylight, natural lighting, computational simulation, parametric toolAbstract
The urban morphology establishes access to daylight in buildings and public spaces in the city. Therefore, the study aims to rate the best use of natural light, in three neighborhoods near the Eixos de Estruturação Urbana, on São Paulo county, using the parametric tool Rhinoceros® and the plug-ins Grasshopper® and Ladybug®. Amongst the results were found that in some cases front setback it is not favorable for sunlight access, meaning that, if the neighboring building don’t hold the same setback it can cause shadowing in the building facade. The analyzed neighborhoods own distinct morphological characteristics and due to that the results are also distinct, which shows that it is necessary to analyze not only the urban indexes but also the relation between urban indexes and the current morphology.
