Abstract

This study analyzes the risk of glare in indoor spaces in Campinas, Bauru, and São Carlos, three cities in São Paulo classified within Bioclimatic Zone 3B according to the ABNT standard (2024). The methodology was based on computational simulations using Climate Studio software, considering two periods of the year: warm (September to March) and cold (March to September). The analyses revealed similar patterns in natural light behavior concerning glare. The conclusions highlight the importance of specific strategies for each opening orientation to optimize direct sunlight control and minimize indoor discomfort. These results complement the Brazilian Bioclimatic Zoning by providing a specific approach to glare in these cities.
