Technical advisory center on environmental comfort in social housing: methodological perspectives

Abstract

The Technical Advisory Center for Environmental Comfort in Social Housing is a project developed by students from the Architecture and Urbanism course and users of housing complexes of social interest in the metropolitan region of São Luís. This extension project aims to act as a laboratory for experimenting with participatory design processes, based on other qualitative and quantitative methodologies, regarding the quality and thermal performance of buildings, with a view to developing strategies to improve the comfort in the built space. The results of this project are associated with the four proposed lines of action: physical-territorial survey, participatory diagnoses, cataloging of interventions and synthesis of shared knowledge.
