The study addresses the performance of different duct geometries in accelerating airflow for application in construction. The goal is to selectively identify the relationship between shape and optimization of cross-ventilation in environments where its use is normatively prescribed, as a strategy for maintaining thermal comfort. Through computational simulations, it was observed that the efficiency of different geometric configurations is justified by the relationship of variables such as curvature, proportions of inlet and outlet openings, and the influence of boxes. These results demonstrate how significant environmental impact reduction and energy consumption can be promoted, as well as suggest low-cost and accessible solutions, especially for vulnerable populations, contributing to sustainability and thermal comfort.
