Simulations are important tools for understanding urban climate behavior in different contexts, allowing for the development of strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change. This article investigates the applicability of Autodesk Forma software for microclimatic analysis, using a public square located in a densely built neighborhood in Vila Velha-ES as a case study. Simulations were conducted at different times during the summer solstice, considering two scenarios: pre- and post-renovation. The results, illustrated with intuitive maps, indicate an increase in surface temperature during periods of higher solar incidence, especially in the post-renovation scenario, characterized by reduced vegetation. These analyses demonstrate that Autodesk Forma has limitations in conducting microclimatic analysis; however, it stands out as an agile and dynamic tool for identifying thermal trends, contributing to decision-making in the early stages of urban planning.
