AVALIAÇÃO EXPERIMENTAL DO COMPORTAMENTO TÉRMICO DE PAINÉIS DE CONCRETO MOLDADOS IN LOCO

In Rio de Janeiro, approximately 80% of the multi-family buildings of the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” Program (MCMVP) are composed of solid concrete walls molded in loco, being this constructive system unsuitable for the climate of Rio de Janeiro, therefore the investigation of proposals aimed at improving the thermal performance of this system are necessary. The objective of this article is to experimentally evaluate the thermal behavior of molded concrete panels in loco, by comparing results between a "control panel" (only with concrete) and a different constructive solution for this system, which sought to improve thermal performance using an EPS layer. For this, tests were carried out to determine the thermal flux in the panels, which were submitted to the action of the heat through a radiant panel with controlled temperature, being contained in a thermal chamber divided in two environments, simulating the exterior and interior temperature. Temperature sensors were used for the internal and external faces of the panels and for the ambient air. The experimental program consisted of tests on a concrete panel with thickness of 10 cm and a sandwich panel made of concrete and expanded polystyrene (EPS), with total thickness of 12 cm, both without any type of paint or coating. It was verified that the use of the EPS generated significant benefits for the thermal performance of the analyzed concrete panel, thus presenting potential of use.
