ESPAÇO SENSORIAL PARA O AMBIENTE DO NASCER: APLICAÇÕES NA ARQUITETURA CONTEMPORÂNEA DE CENTROS OBSTÉTRICOS HOSPITALARES

The architecture operates directly in the process of humanizing Normal Delivery Centers. This article has objective of discussing the processes of design that collaborate or not for a better evolution of normal birth and how to should be applied in these environments. This article aims to understand how the architectural space of the birth environment can influence the evolution and natural analgesia of childbirth. The methodology consists of bibliographic practices, cultures and environments that harbor the physiological function of accompanied by examples of its application in the contemporary architecture. Therefore,two hospitals were selected for this study: The University Hospital of Getafe and HM Nova Belém, both in Madri. It is concluded that the Architectural design should look identify design actions that rovide improved delivery and relief of pain during labor.
