Aplicações do Metaverso na construção civil

A indústria da construção civil, embora vital na economia global, está atrás de outros setores em termos de produtividade e tecnologia. Em vista disso, uma solução potencial encontra-se na transformação digital oferecida pelo Metaverso, entendido como uma abstração do universo físico, estando além dele, caracterizando-o ou complementando-o. Embora o uso do Metaverso apresente crescimento nos setores de entretenimento, saúde e turismo, existe uma lacuna significativa quanto à sua aplicação na construção civil. Este artigo objetiva identificar potenciais aplicações do Metaverso na construção civil. Para tanto, mediante a realização de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, identificaram-se 65 artigos científicos vinculados ao Metaverso. Seus resultados incluem: 1) Mapeamento das propriedades essenciais do Metaverso; 2) Identificação das tecnologias componentes do Metaverso; e 3) Identificação de oportunidades de aplicação do Metaverso, mediante as suas tecnologias, na construção civil. Apesar da limitação de uma revisão de literatura sistemática, esse trabalho contribui com identificar oportunidades para implementação do Metaverso na construção civil.
