Digital transformation (DT) has introduced new perspectives to the market and is considered a strategic challenge for the competitiveness and survival of companies, including those in the construction sector. This work aims to present the results of diagnosing the digital transformation actions of 17 companies associated with INOVACON (Institute for Innovation in the Civil Construction Industry). The results show that 10 companies consider DT indispensable. Despite this, the study identified barriers to its implementation. Additionally, issues related to technical staff, construction sites, purchasing, and building maintenance were identified as areas that DT must address. These elements collectively provide a valuable diagnostic of the actions of the studied companies, enabling us to conclude that the DT process is still in its early stages of development for these companies. Furthermore, experimenting with different digital technologies is associated with achieving more efficient construction. The primary contribution of this study is the diagnostic of the companies' actions in their DT processes. Limitations and suggestions for future research were also discussed.
